Dr. Xu obtained his PhD degrees in Cognitive Neuroscience (Beijing Normal University) and Neuropsychiatry (University of Groningen). He is the Director of the Computational Cognitive Neuroscience Group and Deputy Director of the Beijing Key Laboratory of Applied Experimental Psychology. His research focuses on neurocognitive mechanisms of decision-making in emotional disorders, integrating neuroimaging, intracranial recording, computational modeling, and cognitive approaches.
